The XIII Civil Society Development Forum was held
On December 5, our team joined the XIII Forum for Civil Society Development – The largest event of the year for activists and civil society organizations, which has become a unique platform for discussing key challenges and opportunities in building the civil society sector. This year’s event brought together over 3,000 participants, including civil society activists, volunteers, international partners, and government representatives.
This year’s theme, “(We)STAND”, celebrates the resilience and unity of Ukrainian civil society in the face of immense challenges.
Key highlights of the event included:
- Inspiring discussions on the future of volunteer movements, post-war recovery efforts, and the role of NGOs in driving reform.
- Exceptional speakers: celebrated author Serhiy Zhadan, filmmaker Oles Sanin, and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, among others.
- Networking opportunities: presentations of veteran-owned businesses and initiatives that support grassroots change.
💡 Why this matters:
At EUCCD, we are committed to advancing regional development, sustainability, and civic engagement. The Forum served as an excellent platform to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and reaffirm our mission to create positive, lasting change.
Special thanks to ISAR Ednannia, USAID, and the EU Delegation to Ukraine for organizing such a powerful event that inspires and unites the leaders of Ukraine’s civil society!
