The Path to Ukraine’s Sustainability: EUCCD Joins UNIDO’s Efforts on “Green” Reconstruction

Nearly 200 participants from Ukraine and Germany, including our organization, attended a webinar organized by UNIDO, featuring prominent German experts in water supply and wastewater management: Hans-Joachim Fuchtel, Parliamentary State Secretary, Jeffrey Heller, Director of Heller Environmental Group, and Karam Kudari, project manager of Hamburg Wasser. The event focused on innovative water purification solutions and cutting-edge wastewater management in Erlangen and Hamburg.

Over €100 million was invested in Erlangen’s water treatment systems, while Hamburg reduced CO2 emissions by 94% through advanced technologies. This platform facilitated discussions that will aid in Ukraine’s reconstruction, especially in the East.
