The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the World Bank signed an Agreement on Support and Restoration of Agriculture of Ukraine

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the World Bank have signed a Grant Agreement for the Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Assistance, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform of Ukraine and a Loan Agreement (Emergency Project for Comprehensive Support to Agricultural Rehabilitation in Ukraine (ARISE)).
The parties also agreed to coordinate joint efforts to support Ukrainian farmers and restore the agricultural sector.
šŸ“–The implementation of the “Emergency Project for Inclusive Support to Agricultural Recovery in Ukraine (ARISE)” provides for the provision of USD 700 million to Ukraine to support agriculture.
The project is scheduled to be implemented in 2023 and 2024.
The funds will be used to implement two components of the ARISE project:

  • financial support for the “Affordable Loans 5-7-9” program for agricultural production and the food industry;
  • providing grant assistance to small agricultural producers.
