Recovery, Innovation, and Transparency: A Memorandum for Ukraine’s Sustainable Development

On October 24, 2024, the European-Ukrainian Council for Cooperation and Development and the Future Strategy organization signed a memorandum aimed at advancing strategic initiatives for Ukraine’s sustainable development. This memorandum strengthens national and international partnerships, focusing on economic independence and Ukraine’s integration into the EU.

Goals of the Collaboration: The memorandum outlines projects that promote energy efficiency, transparency in water resource management, development of renewable energy sources, and enhancement of cybersecurity. Special attention is given to ensuring access to clean water and improving energy efficiency in water management.

  • Restoration of Water Infrastructure: Repair of war-damaged facilities, infrastructure modernization, resilience of water supply, and digitalization of management.
  • Energy Independence and Environmental Security: Adoption of renewable energy sources to foster sustainable development in the water sector.
  • Democratic Reforms and Anti-Corruption Initiatives: Increased transparency in resource management and support for reforms aligning with EU standards.
  • Digitalization and Cybersecurity: Establishment of a secure digital environment for resource management and the introduction of innovative technologies for resilience in emergencies.
