Memory Culture and Renewal: Launching Cooperation with Kuma International

We are pleased to announce the beginning of a partnership between the European-Ukrainian Council for Cooperation and Development and Kuma International.

Kuma International, based in Sarajevo, is a reputable center dedicated to the study of memory and the creation of platforms for dialogue between communities in post-conflict regions. The organization has extensive experience in implementing projects aimed at supporting local initiatives, preserving heritage, and fostering cultural dialogue.

Key activities of Kuma International include organizing educational programs, facilitating knowledge exchange between countries, conducting workshops, and hosting discussion platforms. They work on developing practical solutions that enable communities to preserve and integrate cultural heritage into the modern context. Special attention is given to post-conflict regions, where the organization’s expertise and approaches help unite communities and support national identity.

During a meeting with the General Director of Kuma International, Claudia Zini, we discussed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation. This agreement lays the foundation for joint projects focused on experience exchange and the development of local initiatives in Ukraine. Kuma International’s expertise in creating platforms for dialogue and preserving memory will provide a valuable contribution to our shared efforts.

This partnership opens new opportunities to strengthen ties between Ukrainian communities and international organizations, fostering recovery and the preservation of cultural heritage through the implementation of innovative approaches and best practices. Together, we will develop effective solutions to safeguard memory for future generations.
