Joint Path 2025

On February 18, 2025, the European-Ukrainian Council for Cooperation and Development team attended an event organized by the public organization “Heart of Azovstal,” dedicated to summarizing two years of activity and outlining plans for 2025. During the event, it was announced that the “Heart of Azovstal” program would continue in 2025, focusing on supporting the defenders of Mariupol and their families.

Over the past two years, “Heart of Azovstal” has provided assistance to more than 7,000 Mariupol defenders, including social and physical rehabilitation, prosthetics, housing support, education, and employment opportunities. In 2025, the organization plans to expand its support programs, emphasizing long-term projects that will contribute to the sustainable reintegration of veterans into society.

“Heart of Azovstal” has established strong cooperation with civil society and government institutions. The organization collaborates with the Ombudsman’s Office, the Coordination Headquarters, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

To provide high-quality assistance to defenders, “Heart of Azovstal” partners with leading medical institutions, rehabilitation and prosthetics centers, and professional psychologists. Additionally, the organization cooperates with U.S. institutions to adapt international best practices and the most effective veteran support methodologies in Ukraine.

The European-Ukrainian Council for Cooperation and Development expresses its gratitude for the invitation and fully supports initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of Ukraine’s defenders and their families.
