EUCCD at the Mayors’ Summit: Rebuilding and Shaping the Future of Ukrainian Communities

Project managers from EUCCD participated in the All-Ukrainian Mayors’ Summit, where key issues of reconstruction and economic recovery for communities affected by conflict were discussed. The event brought together over 500 participants, including representatives from governmental and international organizations, investment funds, public officials, Ukrainian mayors, and experts in urban infrastructure innovation.

Organized by the Mayors’ Club with support from UNDP, the summit focused on municipal collaboration, public-private partnerships, and cluster economic development. Panel discussions featured insights from representatives of USAID, WTC Kyiv, Ukrainian cities, and international experts from Japan, the United States, and Germany, who shared their experiences in attracting international investment and advancing infrastructure development.

Key discussions revolved around creating investment-attractive projects, reviving local economies, and digitalizing water resource management to enhance transparency and resilience in municipal services. The summit served as a vital platform for exchanging ideas and creating strategies that will ensure the sustainable growth of Ukrainian cities.
