Additional support for Ukraine
Additional support for Ukraine from five countries: Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom.
Ukraine will receive additional support from four European Union countries and the United Kingdom. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address on October 6, expressing gratitude to the partners.
He is working with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to transfer another Patriot air defense battery to Ukraine, which will be a “significant reinforcement.”
With Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, the President discussed the content of a new defense package for our country.
During the talks with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, the parties agreed on more Hawk air defense systems for Ukraine, as well as support in the form of energy equipment.
Britain – we have a very good agreement with Mr. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on security in the Black Sea and in the Odesa region. It is important that we do not waste time and do not lose opportunities for export work. Ukraine must maintain its role as a guarantor of global food security and maintain its maritime access to the global market.
The President of Ukraine also added that French President Emmanuel Macron is doing “exactly what we agreed with him to strengthen the security of our country and the whole of Europe.”
